Timberharp Instructions
Switching On Your Timberharp
Your Timberharp is fitted with a power switch on the back.
Pushed in is ON, toggled out is OFF.
Once you have switched your Timberharp on, you will need to wait 25 seconds for it to complete its setup.
You will hear a little "Boop" when it is ready.
Changing your music settings
On the back you will also find the three rotary controls that adjust Volume, Echo and Sound.
Simply rotate these to make adjustments to your preference. There are 12 musical instruments to choose from, you will hear another "Boop" as each instrument is selected.
Charging your Timberharp
Once again, on the back, you will find the USB extension that recharges the battery pack.
Switch the Timberharp off and plug your USB cable (supplied with your Timberharp) or a good quality replacement into the extension lead socket mounted on the edge of the back.
The battery installed in your Timberharp is high quality and long-lasting and as such will need at least a 2.4 Amp - 3 Amp USB wall plug to recharge. It should take about 12 hours to fully charge from empty.
Care for your Timberharp
If you notice your Timberharp looking a little dull, then use a good quality wax to bring back the shine. Newer models have a little tin of wax on the back, or you can always pop in and see me at the studio for some of the Colron Finishing Wax (Clear) that I use in the workshop.
Bring one of those little jam jars you get on the buffet table at English hotels and I'll fill it up free of charge!
Apply a thin coat of finishing wax with a soft dry cloth, rubbing well into the wood, along the grain and buff once dry (usually about 30 minutes, depending on climate) to your desired level of shine.
Avoid applying wax to any openings or controls.
Looking after your battery
It's good to keep your battery in top shape by using your Timberharp and recharging it regularly.
If you are not going to be using it for a while, try and ensure you leave the battery topped up to full. Leaving a lithium rechargeable battery fully discharged for more than three months can lead to battery cell degradation.
